Fireside Chat
Topic of our third fireside chat was: Political Leadership and Change – (R)Evolutionary process of (Viennese) Austrian People's Party. Dietmar Halper (Head of Political Academy) and Markus Wölbitsch (Regional Executive Director of the Austrian People's Party Vienna) were invited to participate in the fireside chat. Study of Austrian journalists
The Austrian Association of Political Science in cooperation with Pressclub Concordia repeats its online-survey on political leadership among Austrian journalists. The follow-up study shall provide comparable data, and in so far an insight into the recent developement concerning political leadership. Part of the survey especially focuses on political crisis-management.

The Branch of Political Leadership invites its members and persons interested in joining. Discussing its future developement, like common activities, projects or possible cooperations is part of the afternoon's agenda. Its main objective is to set the course for 2015.
Panel discussion on journalism and political leadership at Pressclub Concordia
Second presentation of the study on Austrian journalists and political leadership, followed by a panel discussion. The study's results are presented by Bettina Pepek, Jeanette Mueller and David F. J. Campbell.
The panel consists of two politicians Angelika Mlinar and Wolfgang Moizzi, journalist Stefan Kappacher and political scientist Iris Ullmann. The discussion is moderated by Regina M. Jankowitsch.

Release of the final research paper, authored by Iris Ullmann, David F. J. Campbell, Kilian Franer, Regina M. Jankowitsch, Jeanette Mueller and Bettina Pepek - it is published on the website of the Austrian Political Science Association.
The public presentation of the study's results by Kilian Franer, Bettina Pepek and Jeanette Mueller takes place at Pressclub Concordia.
The following panel discussion is led by Astrid Zimmermann. Participants of the panel are renown political scientist Anton Pelinka, Austrian journalist Stefan Kappacher and lead author of the final paper political scientist Iris Ullmann.

Study of Austrian journalists

Supported by Pressclub Concordia, the Branch of Political Leadership invites journalists to participate in focus groups on political leadership. The focus groups take place at the Institute of Higher Studies, Vienna.
The groups are moderated by Killian Franer and Jeanette Mueller and recorded and later-on interpreted by Iris Ullmann.
Summer
The Branch of Political Leadership submits a paper concerning the ongoing study of Austrian journalists for the Day of Political Science in Graz. The paper is accepted.

The Branch of Leadership accepts to manage a special issue edition for the Austrian Journal of Political Science (OZP) on "Political Leadership". The Branch appoints Doris Wolfslehner und David Wineroither as project managers, who are both credited with co-editorship of the journal.

The branch's definition of political leadership is accepted by German wikipedia.

The Branch's spokesperson Regina M. Jankowitsch edits the anthology "Political Leadership" in collaboration with Annette Zimmer.
Various members of the branch - Regina M. Jankowitsch, Sigrid Rosenberger, Christian M. Moser, Michael Rosecker und David Wineroither - submit articles for the anthology.

The branch's members agree on a common definition of political leadership: "Based on political context political leadership means the volition and ability of an individual or group to sustainably shape social processes, in adherence to human rights, common good prior to self interest and inclusion of all participants."

Founding-members are a. o. Univ-Prof. Dr. Othmar Höll, Dr. Regina Jankowitsch, Mag.a Sigrid Rosenberger und Dr. Günther Burkert-Dottolo.
Regina M. Jankowitsch is elected first spokesperson of the new branch.
